French Connection for SHEE

Irish DJ and music producer SHEE is set to play his first international set in Rennes, Briteny, France on November 16th to finish off the most successful year for the 21-year-old Killarney man, having played at Electric Picnic, Life Festival and Mass Festival. He was recently spotted by major YouTube music channel, Houseum, which has propelled his own productions into the music stratosphere and given him an important platform to showcase his music.

SHEE (real name David Sheerin) started producing music when he was 16 after he wanted to try his hand at recreating and remixing an Avicci song and after years of self-teaching, and having tried various genres and different techniques has developed a distinct sound. He has come a long way since his days of remixing EDM songs, now you will find his YouTube and SoundCloud channels full of funky disco beats. His feel-good music has attracted many fans from all over the world, particularly in France. With SHEE’s sound giving off major French vibes, he has accumulated quite a fan base over there. Having attended one of his sets in the Wah Wah Club in Dublin, I remember distinctly one French girl who danced her heart out to the disco tunes so well chosen and mixed by the young DJ.

SHEE isn’t just about the disco house world, however; he is also part of the impressively successful event Touch of Techno, based in Limerick, and techno duo CHAZ AND SHEE. The event has become part and parcel of student nights in Limerick, with each show being as successful as the last and it’s set to become even bigger in the next few years. The most impressive part of the event is that it was set up, founded and run mainly by three University of Limerick students, Charlie Moloney, Shane Regan and David Sheerin. The event has seen the likes of Ejeca, Jacob B, DJ Deece, FJAAK and many more make their way to Limerick to sell out shows

SHEE is headlining the event, which is being held at La Contrescarpe in Rennes and will also host a number of techno and house DJ’s such as Nico Moreno, Merrake, Joad, and many more. So if you just happen to be in that part of the world on that particular night be sure to head along for a night of dancing and good music. Below is a link to the event and SHEE’s SoundCloud channel. Have a listen!
